Final Fremd Rally…God shows up!

This week has been a powerful example of how God works in big ways through people who love Him and have willing hearts. God has been faithful all week long, protecting, providing, and bringing people to hear the good news of Jesus Christ! The rallies at Fremd saw between 30 and 45 students in attendance each day this week…

                                                            …until Friday!

Before going to the rally on Friday, the CSP team decided to step out in faith by buying enough pizza for 125 people, believing that God would bring enough students to eat all the pizza without any left over.

The Biola team and Christian students walk around with pizza to advertize the rally

Sure enough… when rally time came…

Current student, Dave, shares his testimony with his fellow students

…approx. 115 students attended the rally and heard the good news of Jesus Christ’s salvation! There was no extra pizza.

“I thought it was really good,” said one student who was reluctant to come to the rally, “I’m glad I came.” Another student mentioned that the rally gave her “a lot to think about”.

Dave, a Fremd senior, shared his testimony of God’s redemption from anger and hate to love and compassion.  Next, Mark Robinson spoke.  Mark graduated from Fremd and is now a youth pastor at The Chapel in Barrington, IL.  He shared about making the most of your high school years.  Mark talked about choosing God’s plan for our lives instead of ours.   In bringing up God’s plan for us, Mark was able to share clearly the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.  Katie, Uprising leader, played a youtube video showing a skit done to the song called “Everything” by Lifehouse. You can watch the video at:

The drama is very moving, as it tells of God’s love for us no matter what we’ve done. There were many tear-filled eyes in the room.

For those of you who were praying that God would bring 125 people to the Fremd rally:

 thank you!!

God is so good! Quite a few students heard the gospel message for the very first time on Friday:

…3 people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior!

…42 people re-committed their lived to Christ!

Praise God! It has been absolutely amazing to see the community working together as the body of Christ this week . From people praying to the people who spoke at the rallies, Christians have rallied around Katie and Abby and other Uprising leaders as they lead this week’s events.

Praise the Lord! I’m glad spiritual issues are being brought up on campus. Isn’t that a fundamental part of their overall education?
