“Uprising” club members saw another successful rally happen yesterday as a speaker talked on “Why save sex until marriage?” and students performed “What love really means” by JJ Heller.

Katie and Abby, Uprising leaders, were ready for the rally as soon as the bell rang to announce the end of school. They were surprised to find out that the room they had planned to use was no longer available and adapted quickly, moving to the faculty cafeteria. Katie was glad to see several people at the rally who she and her friends had invited to come.

The speaker encouraged the high schoolers to save sex until marriage because God has a plan for their lives and doing this can help them stay on track to be part of that plan. He encouraged students to adopt long-term thinking for their every day actions and made them aware of the fact that they are at a critical age that determines the course of their entire life.

After he spoke, Katie and Abby sang “What love really means” by JJ Heller as Abby played the acoustic guitar.  In the song, God speaks to a man, saying “I’ve watched you suffer all of your life and now that you’re listening, I’ll tell you that I love you for you. Not for what you have done or for who you’ll become. ”

The message of God’s grace is what the Uprising students at Fremd have on their hearts to spread to all the students who need to know what love really means.

Non-Christians would come. Until now, we’ve had a mostly Christian audience. Pray that God gives Christians boldness in inviting their non-Christian friends.
