Today the Madera Hometown team and  leaders Joana, Sasha, and Vince from North Campus High school gathered to make posters for the week of their outreach themed “Come to stay.” They hope to reach students on their campus by showing them they can find refuge in God  who will never abandon them.  The students want to help others discover the loving grace and salvation He offers to all. They are excited to see what is to come in the week that is to approach.  The students have been creating ways to gain other students interest and have the opportunity to share the gospel with them. The mentors are so proud of the students passion and willingness to reach out to their youth. God is moving greatly in the hearts and lives of these students.

Please pray for us mentors as we are spending time with the students. That we may be able to encourage them and that it may be Him speaking through us. That this week may be a learning experience for all of us. God has been blessing us greatly providing us through financial aid, opening doors, and encountering such loving people. God has been teaching the team to continually leaning on Him and trusting in Him knowing that He is in control of all situations.

Our team continues to meditate on Matthew 5:14-16, “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
