After four days of events, two guest speakers, and countless slices of pizza, Fullerton Union’s week of Breaking Down Borders has come to an end. God has done such amazing things on this campus, and I am so glad our team got to be a part of it! Yesterday was the last event of the week: they had the youth pastor from Thanksgiving Church, David, come share the gospel during lunch, and thirty-two students came and got to hear about Jesus.
No week of outreach and events comes without its challenges, and yesterday showed just how passionate these students are about the gospel, even when faced with tough decisions. Originally, the event on Thursday was supposed to be in a certain room on campus, but the room had been double booked, so the students problem-solved quickly and searched for a room. After no luck with two different spots, the students were able to find a room thanks to a teacher who isn’t even a Christian! He stayed and listened as David shared the Good News!
The gospel was shared to forty-four students this week, through these events and witnessing trips after school, with many students getting information about the Christian club and when the club meets on campus.
As a result of these two events, Fullerton Union saw six first-time decisions to follow Jesus and five recommitments of faith.
Putting those numbers into perspective, 25% of the students who heard the gospel this week made decisions for Christ!
Thank you so much for praying for us this week, and I speak on behalf of Hannah, Nathan, and Jaston when I say that your prayers have meant so much to us as we’ve been at Fullerton Union High School.
Here are a few prayer requests as this outreach week ends:
- Pray for the club leaders as they start following up with students who made decisions to follow Jesus
- Pray that the students who made first-time decisions would get plugged into a local church
- Pray for the Christian club that they would see their campus in need of the gospel and continue to share their faith even though this week is over
Overjoyed to see God working at Fullerton this week,
