God moves…

…and it’s not always how I’d expect.

The students at Willow Canyon High School had their fourth day of outreach today during lunch in the lecture hall.  A couple of the Christian students were supposed to give their testimonies from the stage, but God had something else planned.

The SOAR Christian club members walked around and individually shared the gospel with the students who walked into the room.

Even though only 15 students attended the rally each lunch hour, God brought the right students to the lecture hall and five prayed to receive Christ!

I am grateful for the reminder that God is the one who draws people to Himself.  Please continue to pray for the Willow Canyon students tomorrow afternoon as a few club members share their testimonies and a guest speaker gives a Good Friday gospel presentation.

Day 1: check! Willow Canyon’s Week-Long Outreach

The club is titled Sold Out And Radical for Jesus, and these students are just that.

Despite some opposition from the school administration, these crazy-about-Jesus kids pressed on and welcomed their peers to learn about Him and what He did for them.

They set up a table in the quad during lunch time, handing out free Bibles, tracts and candy, and asking if the students “knew who this Jesus guy is.”  In total, 200-300 students visited the table, and the club passed out 105 Bibles, among other materials. We’re hustling to get more for the rest of the week!

This club has only been together for a year, and this week is a huge step of faith for them, but they’ve risen to the challenge and have found that sharing their faith isn’t that hard after all.  As one SOAR student shared, “I thought it was gonna be scary, but it totally wasn’t!”

Continue to pray for boldness for these students as they share their testimonies in the lunch-time rally tomorrow.
