Unity at Fullerton Union

Unity at Fullerton Union

Yesterday was Day Two of the Fullerton Union’s Outreach Week, and the students were pumped for their guest speaker Nick, a college student from a local church, to share a message about unity through Christ during their lunch time. The students got pizza to give to everyone who came to the event, and were able to promote by walking around the quad shouting “Pizza and Jesus!” We saw 10-15 extra students come to the event, filling the classroom with 32…

Back to School for Spring Break!

Back to School for Spring Break!

During our Spring Break instead of hanging at the beach or putting in an extra 12 hours of sleep a day, some members of CSP are going back to school to share the love of Christ! As a part of the California School Project, this week we are helping out a high schools with a full week of events meant to ultimately share Christ’s love to a student body that struggles with finding hope and restoration in their lives. Fullerton…

Reflecting on His Power in the Silicon Valley

Reflecting on His Power in the Silicon Valley

Three different high school Christian Clubs with one goal: to reach out to the students at their schools and show them the love of Christ. On the Outreach Immersion trip in San Jose last week, we were given the incredible privilege of being able to come alongside 3 amazing Christian clubs to help them get the gospel out across their campuses. Altogether the schools held 5 rallies, and over 200 students got to hear the gospel through those! There were…

Shouting His name in San Jose

Shouting His name in San Jose

God has been up to some big things in Northern California the past few years, and this week, we are going to be following the path he has laid out for us. We have a team of Biola students and CSP staff members coming to San Jose from across California to come alongside and support the high school and middle school students we have been working with this past year. We know that God has even more in store for…

The Good News in NorCal!

The Good News in NorCal!

One state, two cities, 3 public schools, 4000 students… – This was the mission field during our spring break last week in Northern California. With 2 high schools in San Jose (Pioneer HS and Leland HS) and 1 middle school in the Sacramento area (Glen Edwards Middle School), we were able to serve with 3 amazing Christian clubs to extend the love of Christ through the Gospel on their campuses. By having a “mini outreach week” at each of the schools,…

Empowering for the Gospel

Empowering for the Gospel

I have been constantly blown away by the power of God this past week. From San Jose to Sacramento, this it has been full of instances of God’s presence and His work on public school campuses. I had the privilege of praying at Glen Edwards Middle School with students Friday morning, and later I got to go to their after-school follow-up rally. It was so cool to see middle schoolers who were excited about a relationship with Christ, and they were enthusiastic and…

God’s Grace Going Far

God’s Grace Going Far

The CSP team has had such an incredible week so far; we have witnessed more acts of God than we can count –especially in the lives of students at Glen Edwards Middle School. For example, the Christian club at GEMS put on a rally yesterday entitled “What is Easter?” and out of the 29 students who showed up, 10 of those students accepted Christ into their life for the first time! We were all so ecstatic to see this happen…

Reality of the Resurrection

Reality of the Resurrection

Today I witnessed my first rally in San Jose –the second rally of this trip- at Leland High School. We got to watch the students carry out the execution of the event without error, and see their speaker give a strong proof of evidence for and against the resurrection of Jesus, to over a hundred students. It was one of the most amazing things I’ve seen, to watch such a powerful case for Christ be heard by students who may…

Shaped by the Power of Prayer

Shaped by the Power of Prayer

Yesterday, we began our day by promoting the “What Does Jesus Think About Diversity” event at Christian Club at Pioneer High School. The high school students and the CSP team all handed out free hot chocolate and flyers to invite the students to their lunch event. It was so exciting to see the curious reactions of students. At the event, we had about 20 students hear from CSP Staff member Michael Towson on diversity, and they even got to hear…

Starting Out in San Jose

Starting Out in San Jose

Last night, nine christian club leaders from Leland High School and Pioneer High School in San Jose got together to pray with each other and share what they are going to be doing on their campuses. CSP staff, student leaders, and campus mentors joined them in prayer and thanked God for all he has already done, as well as asked Him to work through us. We ended the night by helping the students make posters to advertise for the rallies…
