It’s Just the Beginning – Washington Outreach Immersion 2017

It’s Just the Beginning – Washington Outreach Immersion 2017

The Lakes High School Fellowship Club accomplished so much this week. They put on four rallies in their P.A.C. Beginning on Tuesday, they went out every lunch and shared the good news about Jesus as well as promoting the rallies they would have after school. With each rally the club leaders gained more confidence in themselves. The first rally began the week with three of the leaders sharing their testimonies and opening the conversation of transforming your identity in Christ….

Vision for ‘Fellowship’ – Washington Outreach Immersion 2017

Vision for ‘Fellowship’ – Washington Outreach Immersion 2017

I got the awesome opportunity to interview a couple students and ask them how their witnessing went when they were in their schools and they were sharing the gospel to their friends. First off was Savannah Morrow. She is a tenth grader at Lakes and a club leader for the Fellowship club, she started off this year as really shy but throughout the year as they were planning the week she began finding her footing and her voice. I asked…

Transformation Week at Lakes – Washington Outreach Immersion 2017

Transformation Week at Lakes – Washington Outreach Immersion 2017

The Fellowship Club at Lakes High School is awesome. This is their first outreach week and they chose the theme “transformers.” The student leaders’ tenacity and willingness encourages me and my team. In the face of adversity these students rose up against it. For example, the first rally the guest speaker cancelled last minute. In order to address this issue, one of the leaders, Kyla, was tasked with coming up with a message about identity with a day’s noticed. She rocked it!…

Welcome to Washington – Outreach Immersion 2017

Welcome to Washington – Outreach Immersion 2017

My 2017 began with a trip to the beautiful state of Washington. For me that meant waking up at 2am to make it the airport. For others driving was involved, but it was all worth it. This week for our Washington Outreach Immersion four Californians and four Washingtonians are coming alongside Lakes High School for their Outreach Week. Washington Campus Mentors Bonnie and Nate have been joined by Seth, Jeremy, Hannah, Coral, Amber, and myself (Gigi). Why Washington? Washington is the…

Bold to Preach the Gospel

Bold to Preach the Gospel

To bring the gospel to lost students on campus, God uses students who are bold in their faith. But the first step is helping the students understand the need to be bold. “How will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?” – Romans 10:14-15…

“Why not be made fun of for the best thing?”

“Why not be made fun of for the best thing?”

Today we’re going to share about two bold leaders reaching their school for Christ, both thirteen year old students at Rincon Middle School in Escondido. Meet Taylor:   After God transformed her life at summer camp in 2015, she came back to School with a passion to reach others with the love of Christ. Encouraged by her sister Amber, a CSP Student Leader at Azusa Pacific University, Taylor started a Christian club at her school to gather other Christians and…

Jesus is on the Move

Jesus is on the Move

Jesus is on the move. He’s moving in Rincon Middle School in Escondido, CA. Throughout a week of rallies at the school, 29 students indicated first time decisions for Christ by raising their hands (with 14 confirming their decision by filling out a card to follow up with them) and 36 rededicated their lives to Christ. On average, a little over 50 students attended the rallies and had the opportunity to hear the gospel. On Thursday, students got a chance…

Witnessing Stories

Witnessing Stories

Throughout the week, the team has gone on 2 witnessing trips thus far; one to Moonlight Beach on Tuesday, another to the North County Fair Mall on Wednesday, and we are going on one more today, to the Oceanside pier. Here’s a glimpse of a conversation I had with team members Amber and Jason about their experience Witnessing on Tuesday: What was a highlight of the trip? “While we were out witnessing, we met two women on the beach. After speaking…

Rallies at a Glance

Rallies at a Glance

As you’ve probably noticed, the NSP team is down in San Diego helping Rincon Middle School host an Outreach Week. The theme of the week is #relationshipgoals and throughout the entire week students have been learning about what different types of relationships should look like with Christ at the center. Each day has a different focus on a certain type of relationship: friendships, romantic relationships, family relationships, a theatrical performance, and lastly the ultimate relationship with Jesus. Our team is…
